DEVELOPMENT - Press Photographer Antal Wormser’s Imprints of Time 1957–1981
Exhibition | 7 February - 7 March 2014
In 2007 Antal Wormser (born in Budapest, 20 April 1931) donated several thousand negatives to the Hungarian National Museum.
The photos, which he took while working for the newspaper Esti Hírlap, complement the other negatives by Wormser which the Museum acquired in 1986 from the newspaper Népszabadság, bringing the total to almost forty thousand. A career which spanned several decades and resulted in an enormous number of excellent documentary photographs makes Antal Wormser an outstanding representative of press photography in Hungary.
Opening of the exhibition on Friday, 7 February, 2014, at 6pm
